Some couples want soft neutrals and quiet elegance. Brittany and Brody wanted color, and their Neon Museum Las Vegas wedding delivered every bit of it.
Mismatched bridesmaids, groomsmen in pink and purple jackets, Betsey Johnson heels, a vintage heart cake and a ceremony surrounded by retro neon signs. Then they partied into the night at the Velveteen Rabbit. It was hot, it was loud and it was one of the most fun weddings I’ve ever photographed.

Brittany’s look was pure glam with an edge: fiery copper hair, bold teal eyeshadow by @atomicstylelounge and her tattoos on full display in an off-the-shoulder gown. Her shoes stole the detail shots. Betsey Johnson clear heels covered in tiny flowers with oversized mint satin bows, styled on pink tulle. If you’ve been hunting for Betsey Johnson wedding shoes, consider this your sign.

The Neon Museum is home to Las Vegas’s retired signs: towering letters, light bulbs and vintage marquees from casinos that no longer exist. It’s a playground for color lovers, and for a maximalist couple, a Neon Museum Las Vegas wedding just makes sense.
Brittany’s dad walked her down the aisle through the boneyard of signs, her bouquet trailing ribbons in every color. They said their vows in the hot afternoon sun, then shared a kiss right under the iconic Lady Luck sign. I couldn’t have planned it better.

This is where the maximalist vibe really shined. Every bridesmaid wore a different dress in gold lamé, teal, burgundy sequins, floral prints and more. The groomsmen matched the palette in pink, purple and sage jackets, so it all felt intentional instead of chaotic.
If you’re considering mismatched bridesmaid dresses, take notes from this crew. Pick a loose color story, let everyone choose a style they love, and coordinate the groomsmen to tie it all together.

As the sun went down, everyone headed to the Velveteen Rabbit, a moody, eclectic bar in the Las Vegas Arts District. Think dark wood, warm light and the best cocktails in town. It was the perfect contrast to a bright afternoon at the Neon Museum.
Then there were the desserts. A vintage-style heart cake from @winstonmariecakes in powder blue with red piping, cherries and two little swans. And an ice cream sandwich bar from @funky_frostwich, because a hot Vegas evening calls for it.
The rest of the night was flash, dancing, tongues out and zero chill.

Dreaming of something just as bold? Here’s how to pull off a maximalist wedding without it feeling like too much:
I’m a St. Louis wedding photographer who travels for couples who’d rather be themselves than follow the rules. Whether that’s private vows, a courthouse ceremony or a full-color Neon Museum Las Vegas wedding, let’s make it unforgettable.
